The second in the series, these sun catchers are made from new streaky glass cut into simple medal and rosette inspired shapes.
The poetry of light: These pieces are solely for your hearts delight at the rainbow of refracted light they create.
This sun catcher is made with a clear and opal white streaky glass, a gorgeous neon pink Grosjean ribbon with a brass tag and diamond cut with pointy back antique chandelier crystal. When you hold the glass up to the light the opal white appears to be fiery in colour.
Each piece of glass is cut and kiln fired to give a nice fire polished edge, they are suspended from coloured Grosjean ribbon with the obligatory brass tag which is hand stamped, heat treated i.e., melted, aged and polished and paired with antique chandelier crystals & perhaps a vintage button or piece of costume jewellery.
It goes without saying that each one is unique and not to be found anywhere else. In the future they will become elements in a new collection of lighting I am developing but for now they are to be enjoyed as beautiful unique gifts.
