Description
The ‘Mini Triffid’ was introduced to the Triffid collection in 2023. Diminutive in stature, each lamp contains a wire and glass ‘drawing’ of a flower head, beautifully presented in a modern glass dome.
Green, being the colour of nature, represents growth & harmony. It can make an environment feel more relaxing and soothe those who are experiencing high amounts of stress. The leaf green glass petals in this particular Triffid are made from an old demijohn bottle. The flower is formed of eight small petals, with one inner and outer layer. The copper wire & cast brass details (reclaimed form an old chandelier) are aged and even the metal leaf trim on the glass dome is rich with patinated texture, all adding to its timeless allure.
When it arrives it is ready to plug in and use straight away and because it is a modern glass dome it is far less fragile than the antique domes and perfectly safe to post.
It comes with 2m of decorative black fabric cable, inline switch, 3 pin LED driver plug and bulb. The glass dome is round and sits on a black wooden base with felt feet to prevent scratching. To change the bulb simply remove the dome and unscrew the flower, the bulb has 2 pins that fit into the lamp holder fitting.
